The queen of soul and cultural icon Erykah Badu announces a spectacular celebration of the 25th anniversary of her groundbreaking second studio album Mama’s Gun. The tour, titled The Return of Automatic Slim Tour: Erykah Badu Mama’s Gun ’25, will kick off on October 3, 2025, at the legendary Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles and will include some of the most prestigious venues across North America and Europe — including London’s Royal Albert Hall, Paris’ Zenith, Rome’s Santa Cecilia, and Poland’s Polsat Plus Arena in Gdynia, where Badu will perform twice!
With a career spanning over 25 years, multiple Grammy Awards, and an enormous influence on contemporary R&B and hip-hop, Erykah Badu remains one of the most significant figures in music and culture. This anniversary tour is both a celebration of her remarkable achievements and a testament to the timeless power of her artistry.
Released in 2000, Mama’s Gun solidified Badu’s place as one of the most innovative and influential artists of her generation. Its blend of neo-soul, hip-hop, and jazz, paired with Badu’s distinctive vocals and socially conscious lyrics, earned the album critical acclaim, commercial success, and inspired countless artists in the years that followed.

Erykah Badu is a multifaceted artist whose creative reach extends far beyond music, into film and fashion. Known as a songwriter, vocalist, and producer, she champions women’s health, challenges oppressive structures, and emphasizes Afrocentric values and Black feminism. Her unique fusion of soul, funk, hip-hop, jazz, and gospel has earned her five Grammy Awards — from Baduizm (1997) to 3:AM with Rapsody (2025).
Beyond music, Badu is an innovator. She founded a streaming company that revolutionized online concerts and launched BaduWorldMarket.com, her own lifestyle and retail platform. In 2023, her cannabis brand Apple Trees, in partnership with Cookies, introduced the That Badu line, while her impact on fashion was honored with the CFDA Fashion Icon Award 2024.
